Snoring

Waldorf DentistIn the last blog I talked about grinding teeth and how it may relate to sleep apnea. There are some screening surveys that can help guide your thoughts on whether an evaluation is right for you or a loved one. Signs we may observe at your visit with us is whether you have worn teeth, have a history of acid reflux, have a history of high blood pressure, have weight or neck size issues, or have a scalloped tongue.

The Berlin Scoring test and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale are two tools that asked questions and score results that relate to snoring and quality of sleep. Sleep apnea is a serious condition that can lead to more than just dental problems. I would be happy to email you these tests by request or provide to you on your next visit.
